What is a Wedding Photograph doing on our Web page?
Nenagh Toastmasters Club decided to stage a ‘Mock Wedding’ as an ‘Open Meeting’ for our guests. With the helpfulness of local business we had free hire of the Wedding outfits and a suitable hotel room.
Was it a success? Over 100 guests turned up to the meeting, enjoying mulled wine reception and the variety of speeches we gave. There was a storyline behind this Irish Wedding and the speeches weaved around this. We charged a small admittance fee and provided light refreshments afterwards. Yes it was a resounding success! Our members gained in confidence and we had another two members joining in the next few meetings.
Then we bid to hold a District Conference in Nenagh. This resulted in us having the District 71 Conference in Nenagh in November 2006. A very enjoyable occasion as you can see from the photographs on other pages of this website.
